In an extremely sad incident, a 25 years old man, Dhanji Damor from the Panchmahal district of Gujarat was killed by his cell phone while attempting to make a call while it was charging. As got a massive electric shock, his friends immediately rushed him to the local hospital. When they reached, doctors pronounced him dead due to the electrocution.

Although the mobile phone of Dhanji Damor was not an ordinary phone, it was “Shanzai cell phone”, a knockoff, a fake made in China. Shanzai has a modern outward appearance but inside it contains rudimentary construction. Also the phones contain hazardous batteries.

This is really a very unfortunate incident and shows the shoddy design and construction of devices from China and a lack of quality control. This incident gives a bad name to Chinese technology and shows that if one purchases a cheap knockoff mobile, it can be too risky to the life. Therefore it is always safer to buy a device from a known company.

This did not happen for the first time. China made phone has also killed a woman in India back in 2010. She was electrocuted as she used her phone while it was plugged in for charging.
