Sachin pays 4.35 lakh penalty for his new home Sachin pays 4.35 lakh penalty for his new home sports Indian cricketer master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has paid a fine of Rs 4.35 lakh to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for performing “Vastu Pooja” at his new four storey bungalow on Perry Cross Road at Bandra (West) without getting the OC (Occupation Certificate).

The BMC had issued a notice to the Sachin Tendulkar under section 350 (A) of the BMC Act for occupying premises without an OC and fined Rs 4.35 lakh penalty as illegal occupancy charge. The government of Maharashtra had told BMC Commissioner to waive the Penalty but cricketer duly obliged and paid the penalty.

According to the BMC official, “Sachin Paid the amount after BMC issued a notice seeking recovery of Rs 4.35 lakh penalty as illegal occupancy charge. We have issued the OC to Sachin after receiving necessary documents and the fine amount.” The BMC has charged Sachin Rs 50/sqm for the bungalow spread over 836 sqm.

Sachin’s new bungalow has 10 spacious, air-conditioned rooms and ceiling height in the main living room is almost 20ft. Bungalow has been secured with high-walled fencing to avoid curious onlookers and is equipped with CCTV cameras and sensors.

The bungalow has been reconstructed on a plot which had been bought from the Satra Group for Rs 39 crore in 2007. To construct the villa, Sachin has spent around 10 crore.
